My Paint Is Soft And Muuuuushy!

The paint is actually not hard but soft with oil on top. Making it mushy to paint with. What can I do to harden the ……. paint?

The best thing is to squirt the paint out on newspaper or paper towel. Let it sit for a few minutes, than transfer the paint to your palette.

The excess oil is absorbed into the paper and the paint generally returns to its natural state.

This is oil that doesn’t mix with the paint, but is in the tube to make it easier for the paint to slide out when squeezed.
