Right People, Right Product, Right Place, Right Time

Darrell I just received your ‘People’ set of DVDs and I am first listening to selling, of course, because I have a show starting next Wednesday and the Art Loop will be the coming Friday of the same week. They say that paintings sell themselves and I really haven’t found that. One has to be in the right place at the right time and get one’s product out there. I do sell from time to time and I will continue to listen to your DVDs so I get better at it, selling. Andrea

Andrea….you above all people I’ve met have 75%. Congratulations that you just about got the entire marketing message I’m putting out. You must be at the right place at the right time with the right product for the right people.

The last part, “The right people” is the first question that you must have answered. Once you’ve found the right people, then they will tell you what they want, how to sell to them and what they’re willing to pay. Then your job becomes quite easy…..by simply making it easy for your customers to buy from you.

Now here’s the blessed part …… Current customers are more apt to purchase from you a second time than first time customers. That’s why people keep customer lists…….so I’m sure you’re keeping a mailing list of everyone attending your shows.

Congratulations. Not many people understand sales…..probably only 8% of our population….I figure my job is to help every artist understand how to sell their paintings. There’s ton more I could have said on my DVD, but I only had so much time, so perhaps I’ll do more CD’s if people like them.
