Update On Darrell
I thought I’d write and let everyone know how I’m doing.
The operation was a huge success. Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers and support. I sure felt the love from everyone.
Yesterday marks two weeks since the operation. I now weigh 25 pounds lighter than that fateful morning.
The recovery is going well. I’ve been mostly resting and following doctor’s orders. My diet is nothing to write home about. I have a protein drink 3 times daily with up to 8 ounces an hour of clear liquids. Its so hard for me not to delve back into full activities. But I’ve relaxed and said that it is important to recover first.
I’m now back at it for two hours a day. So each evening this week, we’ll be filming. Last night we filmed a beautiful floral painting, Nature’s Bouquet with lots of wildflowers, daisies, poppies and so forth. I just love florals.
Tonight we’ll be filming a beautiful mountain landscape that I’ve taught many times throughout New England and we’ll film a seascape tomorrow night.
I’ll offer a special on them this weekend so watch out for the announcement. These films will also be posted on the YouCanPaintClub.com site.
The interesting thing about these films is they’ll show what I now look like. Which by the way is less weight than any of the 200 films we’ve already produced.
It’s been at least 15 years since I weighed this little.
I’m very happy.
Let me also share with you what else is happening.
This month Atif says he is moving the following films to the YouCanPaintClub.com
- Pop Art
- Seascapes
- Tall Ships
- Florals
- Basic Techniques of Water Mixable Oils.
Wow. That’s a lot Atif. Thanks.
Last month, a large number of films were moved up as well. So be sure to check this out club members.
We have had to suspend the daily exercise and our webshows for a couple weeks due to recovery, but I’ll restart these in another week or so. I gotta follow the doctor’s orders no matter what.
I hope you’re enjoying the summer. We certainly are, even thought I think we’re having record heat waves.
Keep painting……
Darrell
